Hello.  

I'm Mrs. Taylor, ELA Specialist at James L. Day Middle School. I began teaching high school in 1994 in Arizona and have been working with students in classrooms ever since.  I have a B.S. in English Education from Northern Arizona University and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, Portland. I am also a Certified Journalism Educator (JEA) who spent 19 years working with students in the area of scholastic journalism and yearbook. This is my sixth year at Day Middle School and my 30th year in education.

 

Teaching and working with students challenges and encourages me. I draw energy and enthusiasm from my students and try to be a constant, positive influence in their lives and learning.
